The Road To Nowhere | Bali

The project was to find a location that could encapsulate the feeling of "The Road to Nowhere." After reviewing references from around the world, we felt that the rugged and surreal landscape around Mount Agung in Bali best expressed the complexities of moving from point A to B. Its black, challenging terrain, dotted with vibrant shrines, provided the most austere and harsh environment for our shoot, perfectly capturing the dramatic journey we aimed to convey. During our time there, we crossed paths with a few of the people who lived amongst the lava fields that called this harsh landscape home.
