Marc Márquez
Marc Márquez is a six-time MotoGP World Champion whose record-breaking performances, aggressive riding style, and remarkable comebacks from injuries have solidified his reputation as one of the greatest racers in the world. In MotoGP, bikes reach speeds over 220 mph and achieve lean angles so steep that elbows and knees often touch the track surface.
I met Marc in his hometown of Cervera, Catalonia, and had the chance to photograph him practicing at the motocross track where he has honed his skills since childhood. Marc believes that motocross is crucial for his MotoGP success, stating, “Motocross is very good for physical condition and technique. When you ride a motocross bike, it’s more difficult than riding a road racing bike, and you are always on the limit. This experience helps you control the bike better and significantly improves your reactions.”
